The Great Spotted Woodpecker ("Dendrocopos major") is often heard tap-tapping at the trees in the woods of Britain. Like all of the birds here, it is made to scale and can be hung on the side of a wooden bird table or tree trunk outside, as well as in any window indoors. Its fine colours gave inspiration to make this bird, and also make it a pleasure to own!
